One of Conrad Black's co-defendants has moved closer to being released from jail while the United States Supreme Court reviews fraud convictions in the case. Lawyers for John Boultbee filed a motion yesterday in a Chicago court seeking that he be released on $500,000 (U.S.) bail until the Supreme Court makes a decision on the case. Prosecutors have agreed to the request, according to court filings. Judge Amy St. Eve is expected to rule on the bail request tomorrow. Mr. Boultbee was convicted of fraud in 2007 along with Lord Black and two other former executives of Hollinger International Inc. He received a 27-month jail term that he began serving last July at a prison in California
